Man vs. Wild…..
Be aware of the Dangers in and, of this World! 🌎🌍🌏
BE SOBER [WELL BALANCED AND SELF-DICIPLINED], BE ALERT AND CAUTIOUS AT ALL TIMES. THAT ENEMY OF YOURS, THE DEVIL, PROWLS AROUND LIKE A ROARING LION [FIERCELY HUNGRY], SEEKING SOMEONE TO DEVOUR. BUT RESIST HIM, BE FIRM IN YOUR FAITH [AGAINST HIS ATTACK-ROOTED, ESTABLISHED, IMMOVABLE], KNOWING THAT THE SAME EXPERIENCES OF SUFFERING ARE BEING EXPERIENCED BY YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. [YOU DO NOT SUFFER ALONE.] 1 PETER 5:8-9
I think that many people are unaware that even though we are believers, we are still frightened about the dangers that lurk just around the corner. I used to think that I had to be strong all of the time, and to not show any fears. Jesus came to me and showed me that this was far from the truth. My vulnerabilities and my weaknesses were actually what makes HIM strong within me, because I allowed him to take control of those things that caused me to be afraid.
2 Corinthians 12:10
“That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
Our tears and our hardships are not signs of failure, I desire to share (especially as a woman, and not to be offensive to men), that it is ok to be vulnerable in hard times. This world that we live in is like living in the wild, there are very clear and present dangers that surround us all of the time, in the home; and out of the home. We are attacked by calamity and evil in all areas of life, on the news, in the music we hear, in some the television shows that entertain us, in our families, and at times, as we are just grocery shopping to feed our families or even filling up our gas tanks. My Husband and I were having a conversation about death, and it came to me that it was actually a blessing that ( many of us,) can just live without allowing the thought of death to cripple us, and keep us from actually living blessed and fruitful lives, He agreed. We cannot allow the fact that there are clear and present dangers around us all of the time to keep us from enjoying the blessings that Christ has allowed to enrich our lives daily. yes, we live in the wild, But, we also serve a King who has overcome it.
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
