WHAT WE BELIEVE
Here, at SAINTSUNITED.ORG, WE BELIEVE…..,In GOD THE FATHER, also referred to as the HEAVENLY FATHER. We believe that He is the creator and sustainer of our FAITH and the UNIVERSE, that, God the Father is ETERNAL, all-POWERFUL, all-KNOWING, and LOVING. We believe in JESUS CHRIST, that He is the central figure in Christianity and is the SON OF GOD, and the SAVIOR OF HUMANITY, that He lived in the first-century AD and preached LOVE, COMPASSION, and FORGIVENESS. That He performed MIRACLES, taught profound SPIRITUAL TRUTHS, and ultimately SACRIFICED himself on the cross for the REDEMPTION OF SINS. We believe that Jesus is the embodiment of DIVINE LOVE and serves as a guide for leading a RIGHTOUS and FULFILLED life. We believe in the HOLY SPIRIT, and that He is the THIRD PERSON of the Holy Trinity, alongside God the Father and Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the DIVINE PRESENCE OF GOD, working with individuals and the world; we also believe that the Holy Spirit provides GUIDANCE, COMFORT, and INSPIRATION to believers, helping us to understand and apply the teachings of Jesus. We also believe that the Holy Spirit is the SOURCE OF SPIRITUAL GIFTS AND EMPOWERMENT, which allows us to live TRANSFORMED AND EMPOWERED LIVES.
WE BELIEVE IN THE BAPTISM
Baptism in the Bible refers to the act of immersing a person in water or applying water to them as a symbolic representation of their spiritual purification, repentance, and identification with Jesus Christ. The New Testament records several instances of baptism, particularly in the ministry of John the Baptist and in the early Christian church.
John the Baptist is known for his baptism of repentance, where people would come to him in the wilderness and be baptized in the Jordan River as a sign of their desire to turn away from sin and be reconciled with God. John's baptism prepared the way for Jesus' ministry.
In the Christian context, baptism is seen as a sacrament or ritual of initiation into the faith. It symbolizes a person's identification with Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, as well as their commitment to follow Him. Prior to being baptized, individuals often publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ.
The act of baptism itself varies among different Christian denominations. Some practice full immersion, where the person is completely submerged in water, while others practice sprinkling or pouring water over the person's head. Regardless of the method, baptism is seen as a significant step of obedience and a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ.
WE BELIEVE THAT SATAN IS OUR REAL ENEMY
Satan is often understood as a fallen angel who rebelled against God and became the embodiment of evil and temptation. Satan is depicted as the adversary of God and humanity, seeking to lead people away from God's will and into sin.
The origins and nature of Satan are described in various passages of the Bible, particularly in the book of Genesis and the book of Revelation. In the book of Genesis, Satan is depicted as a serpent who tempts Adam and Eve to disobey God's command in the Garden of Eden, leading to the fall of humanity. In the book of Revelation, Satan is portrayed as a dragon who wages war against God and His people.
Throughout the Bible, Satan is described as a deceiver, a liar, and the accuser of believers. He is often depicted as leading individuals astray and opposing God's plans and purposes. However, it is important to note that Satan's power is ultimately limited, and he will be defeated in the end according to Christian belief.
Different religious traditions may have varying interpretations of Satan, but in Christianity, he is typically seen as a malevolent spiritual being who opposes God and seeks to lead people away from Him.
